The forum will last ninety minutes.  Chris Lehman of KLCC radio will moderate the forum. Attendees are invited to submit questions for the moderator to pose to the candidates. Mr. Lehman will make the final decision on all questions. In addition to the Zoom webinar, the forum will be livestreamed on the Springfield City Club web page and the City Club of Eugene You tube channel.

Those in the 4th Congressional District face a major decision in the election coming on November 8th. For the first time in more than a generation, there will be a change in the representation of the district. No incumbent is standing for reelection. Some say that the recent decisions of the US Supreme Court have raised several new issues for candidates to address, in addition to the issues already facing Oregonians.

We are happy to have several cosponsors from organization across District 4. These include the League of Women Voters of Coos Bay, the League of Women Voters of Umpqua Valley, the Siuslaw Public Library District, the Coos Bay Public Library, and the North Bend Public Library. These organizations will be sending out invitations to their contacts and may be able to livestream the forum over the media outlets as well.

We will meet at the Freight Room of the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce, 101 S. A Street, at noon, still on the first and third Thursdays of the month. For the moment, we will not provide lunch, and encourage attendees to bring a brown bag lunch. Water and coffee will be available. We are evaluating options for getting back to serving lunch, and welcome any feedback you might have.

At present neither City Club nor the Chamber require masking while indoors. We note, however, that Lane County Public Health officials are encouraging mask wearing in indoor settings and are considering whether or not to make that an official recommendation. We ask everyone attending to exercise prudence and caution and feel free to wear a mask if you prefer.           Copyright © 2022 springfieldcityclub, All rights reserved.
